An Open letter to God
Dear God,
Thank you po for everything...giving us blessings, protecting us from harm and for forgiving our sins. Alam ko po na most of the time paulit-ulit nalang po mga kasalanan ko pero You are so loving & so forgiving, kaya siguro till now buhay pa ako, at masayang namumuhay kasama ng husband ko at ng aking "unico hijo".
God thank you for giving me Rapo...he is the best thing that ever happened to me. Kahit na out of wedlock xa "nangyari" eto ka't binigyan ako ulet ng chance para mapatunayan ko that I'm still worth it even if napaka-hard headed ko. God thank you for giving me patience for every passing day. Though minsan di maiiwasan na napaka-sungit ko na talaga...hirap po talaga iwasan God e...pasenxa napo talaga. I know I don't say these things everyday, pero alam ko na nararamdaman nyo po lahat to.
God thank you for giving me Ferdie...kung di dahil sa kanya di ako matututo tumayo sa sarili kong paa. Kahit na madami kaming nagawang maling desisyon, you still gave us a chance para itama lahat ng maling decision na yon. Salamat din po at binuksan nyo po ulit ang utak ko na magpatawad. Kahit na alam Mo na nasaktan ako ng sobra, You blessed me with your healing hand, at nagawa kong magpatawad. Sa totoo lang po talaga God, wala nakong di pa napapatawad, bitchy nga po ako pero that doesn't mean that di ako nagpatawad.
Eventhough most of the time people tend to misjudge me, hinahayaan ko nalang...di ko naman po kelangan i-explain side ko sa kanila, kasi baka magmukha lang akong guilty. God madami pa po akong gustong ipagpasalamat sa 'Yo...siguro sa next open letter ko nalang po...
Thank you God sa lagi mong pakikinig kahit na minsan nasusuway ko mga utos mo...give me more strenght and more patience to face everything...may it be good or bad. Bless all those people who are always at my side and never leaves me. Bless those people that accept me for who I am. Bless those people that I love and loves me back. And lastly, please bless as well those people who have less understanding to others. May they have an open mind to realize that they must be mature enough to people around them.
Thank you God...till my next open letter....I love You with all my heart....

FW: Winners - Losers (First Sem of 2007)
Hay naku, read on ... winner itong write-up na ito ...grabe... kaaliw!!!
Winners Losers : From Kris to Ruffa to Gretchen(Desperate Housewives.Philippine Edition).(Or are we reaping some sort of a negative karma todeserve them?)
The month of June is a good time to review whattranspired for the firstsix months of 2007. For this edition, ConventionalWisdom is focusing onshowbiz-related matters instead of the usual politics(which in a way isalso show-biz but ……for ugly people). Read on.
Kris Aquino. Loser. While she is the innocent onein the wholeJames-Hope brouhaha, Conventional Wisdom thinks thatshe could have handledthe incident with more dignity and privacy. Onewonders why this dramaqueen wants to inflict her day-to-day saga with thewhole planet. Fromexaggerating her "life-threatening" pregnancy, tolambasting her husband inpublic ("O magsalita ka? Totoo naming pina-palayas nakita sa bahay a?"),to actually using Ninoy to promote a cake in herlatest commercial. Kris'next endorsement should neither be beer nor pastriesbut laundry detergentfor her unquenchable desire to always wash her verydirty underwear inpublic.
James Yap. Loser. One word : cad. As one writersuccinctly said : "Whatdo you expect from a provincial boy who suddenlybecame famous andwealthy?" The last time we witnessed a showbiz cadwas during GabbyConcepcion's time. James is now second in our list.Conventional Wisdom isgiving them maximum of 3 years as a couple. Kris isstarting to look moreand more mature and matronic. James is still young.Give James sometime, and after Hope - - Faith and Charity will springforth.
Moral of the story. Smoking is bad for marriage: Krishad Philip, Jameshad Hope. Conventional Wisdom can't take any More ofthis!!!
Ruffa Gutierrez / Annabelle Rama : The mother anddaughter (MAD) teamstrikes again. From a filmfest scam that made it toCNN, to Brunie-yukiscandal that merited a senate hearing, and now, thefalling out with Ylmaz- - which is desperately being peddled out asPhilippines vs. Turkey .Oppressor vs. Victim.
Ruffa Gutierrez: Loser. A desperate act from ahas-been, middle-agedB-actress who is trying to make a come-back bycapitalizing on whateverpublicity that can be squeezed out from this split. From caterwauling oneminute "Hindi ko na kaya Kuya Boy!", to coyly sayingthe following week"Ligawan nya (Ylmaz) ulit ako" to having her bornagain baptism ritescaptured on cam and then heading off to Las Vegas thefollowing week torelax and do damage control (about his marriage fiveyears ago in LasVegas). Ruffa, you're act is getting stale. Youhave become sopredictable and boring.
Annabelle Rama. Winner. For always a character thatshe is. For beingconsistent in her act and for being our constantsource of amusement.Conventional Wisdom almost fell off its chair whenthis motor-mouthfish-wife asked Dolly Ann to return the cosmetics shegave her and then, proceeded on by actually naming two unknown women onnational television topay their debts to her since she now has to take careof Ruffa and hergrandchildren : "Hoy, so and so…magbayad na kayo ngutang nyo sa akindahil marami na akong papalamunin ngayon" or somethingto that effect.Panalo talaga si Bisaya. I strongly suggest to PGMAthat we give thiswoman a postion in the government preferably as Headof our NationalDefense. Asap.
Dolly Ann Carvajal. Winner and Loser. A lot ofpeople don't like thiswoman. For one, she is not pleasing to the eye. Hergay son looks a lotbetter than she. And admit it or not, she became awriter thru herconnections ? mom and aunt. But being objectiveabout the whole thing,Conventional Wisdom thinks that Dolly Ann is on theright this time. Whycan't the mother and daughter (MAD) tandem just answerthe questions posedby Dolly Ann? Why can't Annabelle stick to the issuesinstead of pointingout something we already know : how ugly Dolly Annis.
What makes Dolly Ann a loser is her constant use ofher departed mom'slegacy and memory whenever someone would diss her out.Honey, stop hidingunder the skirt of your mom. You are not a sacredcow.
Pia Guanio. Loser. What a lousy lousy interviewer. The depth of hertalent as a host is as long as her irritating miniskirts. Do us a favorPia, ask Bossing to marry you already and then fadeinto oblivion.
Gretchen Baretto. Loser. One word : Wow. Theaffectations of LaGreta can only matched by her delusions of grandeur. From the looks ofit, she is experiencing the early on-set of a mid-lifecrisis. She has beenpicking fights left and right…with Lani Mercado, andthen with DawnZulueta. From her classic statement about the looksof her own daughter :"Naaawa nga ako dahil karamihan ng tao ang sabi kayDominique, kamukha syang tatay nya?". And now the "friendly beso-beso"lip-lock with JohnEstrada. Please explain to Conventional Wisdom - -"How can this be afriendly kiss when you and John looked so orgasmic inthat shot?
Gretchen is a classic example of "langaw nanakatungtong sa kalabaw, perofeeling mataas pa sa kalabaw." Someone shouldalready tell this woman toseek professional help. Sober up and clean your actsister. You are noParis Hilton. More like Plaster of Paris Hilton.
Cesar Montano, Richard Gomez, Manny Pacquiao, etc. -Losers. No furtherexplanations needed.
Borgy Manotoc. Loser. Please. Please. From onescandal to the next. From one basag-ulo to the next. We have enough ofyou and your sap-sapmouth face. Will someone already put this psychobehind bars?
Butch Francisco and Dolly Ann as writers. Losers. Please don't wasteprecious newspaper space writing about personalstories that nobody(repeat, nobody!) finds interesting at all. From yourmaid's antics toyour experience as a judge of Slimmers World Mr. andMs. Ek ek, to acurrent love who inspires you. Please! A tree gaveup its life to havethese newspaper printed. Have I mentioned that nobodyis interested?
Belo's Billboards. Loser. Hideous. Plain hideous. Whoever is advisingVicky (I can't call her Doctora Vicky because asOsang said, she was amere aerobics instructor before) to put out all thosemonstrosities shouldbe charged with Human Rights violations. From thedisturbing Chrismasbillboard last December, to Richard Gomez's billboardpre-campaign period,to Ai-ai's scary shot. Conventional Wisdom wouldrather stare at thebillboards of Ellen's Beauty Salon (with Ellen as themodel herself) thansee these Belo ads.
Nora Aunor. Loser. To be a has-been superstar drugdependent in yourfifties is bad enough. To be caught doing drugs inanother country isworse. To be found-out to have married another womanmany years ago for aUS green-card is worst. Ate Guy is a classicexample of a personblessed with so much talent and opportunity gone towaste.
Regine Velasquez ? Ogie Alcasid. Losers. Regine iswhat ..... .nearing 40?As someone said "from her demeanor to her utterance,Regine is trying veryvery very hard to hold on to youth." And if I mayadd, failing miserably. This home-wrecker who speaks with an Americansleng-sleng should act herage. Seeing her kilig-reaction about the admissionof Ogie made me losemy appetite for dinner. Conventional Wisdom is reallyworried that anytimesoon, Regine's face and body will collapse. From herhair extension, herfake long eyelashes, her fake nose, her man-made eyeslits, her tooth-capswith gums, and her Gluthathioned skin, her fake boobs. Last we heard, hermovie with Piolo flopped big time. Nobody wants tosee a May ? Decemberlove story anymore. Or more correctly, a May 1960 ?December 2007 loveaffair story anymore.
These are the people that are giving ConventionalWisdom constant migrainethe past months. If this trend continues untilDecember, aneurysm can'tbe far behind.
Pass this on until it reaches the following: YlmazBektas, Mother-in-lawof Gretchen., Hope, Vic Sotto, PGMA, Michelle VanSomething, LettyMagsanoc, and Gov. Vi.
***hay naku no, these are so true db??!! Well I guess that's what showbusiness is all about..."

Be true be yourself!

"so pa-cute"

ang cute ni papo dito e...this was taken during our team building in Laguna...sa Pansol ata yun, can't remember e...we are flanked by my team mates Audie and Julius...sinama ko si Rapo dito kasi parang late birthday gift ko na sa kanya....wala kasi xa handa nung birthday nya nung October 19, kaya eto nalang! Medyo late nga lang pero it's worth it! Ang saya saya nga ni Kulet (as what we fondly call him) kasi may swimming pool. At take note ha! 2am na kami natulog, pero yung mga ka-team ko mga 5am na ata...tas ang aga pa gumising ni kulet mga 8am gising na xa...nag breakfast lang xa ng noodles & pan desal then gora na ulet sa pool...hehe...i've never seen him that happy, minsan lang kasi xa makapasxal e....

still remember?!?
"A touching story worth reading"
Dear Patrick,
I was then an only child who had everything I could ever want. But evena pretty, spoiled and rich kid could get lonely once in a while so whenMom told me that she was pregnant, I was ecstatic. I imagined how wonderful you would be and how we'd always be together and how much youwould look like me. So, when you were born, I looked at your tiny handsand feet and marveled at how beautiful you were.
We took you home and I showed you proudly to my friends. They wouldtouch you and sometimes pinch you, but you never reacted. When you werefive months old, some things began to bother Mom. You seemed so unmovingand numb, and your cry sounded odd --- almost like a kitten's. So webrought you to many doctors.
The thirteenth doctor who looked at you quietly said you have the "crydu chat" (pronounced Kree-do-sha) syndrome, "cry of the cat" in French.
When I asked what that meant, he looked at me with pity and softly said,"Your brother will never walk nor talk." The doctor told us that it is acondition that afflicts one in 50,000 babies, rendering victims severelyretarded. Mom was shocked and I was furious. I thought it was unfair.
When we went home, Mom took you in her arms and cried. I looked at youand realized that word will get around that you're not normal. So tohold on to my popularity, I did the unthinkable ... I disowned you. Momand Dad didn't know but I steeled myself not to love you as you grew.Mom and Dad showered you love and attention and that made me bitter. Andas the years passed, that bitterness turned to anger, and then hate
Mom never gave up on you. She knew she had to do it for your sake.
Everytime she put your toys down, you'd roll instead of crawl. I watchedher heart break every time she took away your toys and strapped yourtummy with foam so you couldn't roll. You struggle and you're cry inthat pitiful way, the cry of the kitten. But she still didn't give up.
Then she'd leave you there. I would sometimes watch from the windows andsmile at your discomfort. You would crawl to the sidewalk and Mom wouldput you back. Again and again, Mom repeated this on the lawn. Until oneday, Mom saw you pull yourself up and toddle off the grass as fast asyour little legs could carry you.
Laughing and crying, she shouted for Dad and I to come. Dad hugged youcrying openly.
I watched from my bedroom window this heartbreaking scene.
Over the years, Mom taught you to speak, read and write. From then on, Iwould sometime see you walk outside, smell the flowers, marvel at thebirds, or just smile at no one. I began to see the beauty of the worldthrough your eyes. It was then that I realized that you were my brotherand no matter how much I tried to hate you, I couldn't, because I hadgrown to love you.
During the next few days, we again became acquainted with each other. Iwould buy you toys and give you all the love that a sister could evergive to her brother. And you would reward me by smiling and hugging me.
But I guess, you were never really meant for us. On your tenth birthday, you felt severe headaches. The doctor's diagnosis --leukemia. Mom gaspedand Dad held her, while I fought hard to keep my tears from falling. Atthat moment, I loved you all the more. I couldn't even bear to leaveyour side. Then the doctors told us that your only hope is to have abonemarrow transplant. You became the subject of a nationwide donorsearch. When at last we found the right match, you were too sick, andthe doctor reluctantly ruled out the operations. Since then, youunderwent chemotherapy and radiation.
Even at the end, you continued to pursue life. Just a month before youdied, you made me draw up a list of things you wanted to do when you gotout of the hospital. Two days after the list was completed, you askedthe doctors to send you home. There, we ate ice cream and cake, runacross the grass, flew kites, went fishing, took pictures of one anotherand let the balloons fly. I remember the last conversation that we had.You said that if you die, and if I need of help, I could send you a noteto heaven by tying it on the string of any balloon and letting it fly. When you said this, I started crying. Then you hugged me. Then again, for the last time, you got sick.
That last night, you asked for water, a back rub, a cuddle. Finally, youwent into seizure with tears streaming down your face. Later, at thehospital, you struggled to talk but the words wouldn't come. I know whatyou wanted to say. "Hear you," I whispered. And for the last time, Isaid, "I'll always love and I will never forget you. Don't be afraid. You'll soon be with God in heaven." Then, with my tears flowing freely,I watched the bravest boy I had ever known finally stop breathing. Dad,Mom and I cried until I felt as if there were no more tears left.Patrick was finally gone, leaving us behind.
From then on, you were my source of inspiration. You showed me how tolove life and live to the fullest. With your simplicity and honesty, youshowed me a world full of love and caring. And you made me realize thatthe most important thing in this life is to continue loving withoutasking why or how and without setting any limit.
Thank you, my little brother, for all these.
It isn't true that life does not get easier with age.It only gets more challenging.
Don't be afraid.
Don't lose your capacity to love.
Pursue your passions.
Live your dreams.
Don't lose faith in God.
Don't grow old.
Just grow YOU!
When you give someone your time, you are giving them a portion of your life that you'll never get back.
Your time is your life. That is why the greatest gift you can give to someone is your time.
Relationships take time and effort, and the best way to spell love isT-I-M-E because the essence of love is not what we think or do or provide for others, but how much we give of ourselves.
***Ewan ko ba, pero nung nabasa ko to, sobrang nakaka-inspire! It eases my worry over so many things. I realized so many things about myself and what I have done to others, na hindi pala sa lahat ng oras masusunod gusto mo. Nakaka-touch sobra...***
